Fusion serves two types of companies: established businesses looking to accelerate their growth and early stage start-ups looking for resources.

Established Companies

Fusion’s venture acceleration services were created for companies that are looking to accelerate growth through product and/or business model innovation.  Our performance based partnership agreements defer costs for these services until the results have been achieved.  Our typical partner has the following characteristics:

• Revenue Range: $5-50 million
• Operating Income Range: $500 thousand – 5 million

This approach works best with technology-based service providers and healthcare service/product companies  with a presence in Washington, D.C. and Chicago, IL metro areas.

Start-ups

Fusion Ventures provides investment resources for promising organizations which address important social needs.  We provide these services in 2 primary ways:

• Capital Investment: Fusion invests seed and growth capital in innovative organizations in exchange for an equity position the venture
• Value-Added Investment: Fusion will occasionally provide Advisory, Interim Executive and other services in exchange for sweat equity in a particular venture or company

Our hybrid approach to investing (blending capital and professional services) enables us to partner with promising young socially-minded organizations and innovators that may go overlooked by more traditional investor groups.
