Despite rainy weather, this year’s tournament raised more than $5,000 for Our Military Kids Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides support and recognition to children of deployed National Guard and Reserve service members and wounded and fallen warriors through grants that pay for fees associated with athletic, fine arts and tutoring programs. These programs help relieve the stress military children suffer from parental separation by keeping them engaged in activities that provide positive distraction, minimize emotional destabilization, build self-esteem and enable academic achievement.

Last year, GANTECH raised more than $5,000 for the Bright Minds Foundation at their 8th Annual Partners in Technology Charity Golf Tournament.

The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony, cocktails and a celebratory dinner. Prizes included a Samsung 55-inch HD TV, Macbook Pro, iPad and Ravens versus Patriots tickets among other monetary awards for Longest Drive, Mulligan Bags and a putting contest. While Team Fusion did not walk away with any placement or prizes, Jones vowed to work on his golf game to prepare for next year’s tournament.

Utilizing more than a decade in business strategy experience, Jones helped refine and funnel streams of information and dialogue elicited by the discussion to define significant priorities for

Dr. Harris’ Life Sanctum vision. “I was overwhelmed and energized by the talent and knowledge that was amassed,” says guest and Freelance Writer Linda Flournoy, “and I soaked it up like a thirsty sponge!”

Along with Flourney, guest participants included Denise Rainey of Rainmakers Solutions Inc., African Ancestry Inc. The meeting began with Dr. Harris explaining his concept of unifying beauty, health and identity with an emphasis on Afrocentric consciousness as a treatment plan for African American women seeking hair restoration, rhinoplasty or other cosmetic rejuvenation services. “In the current state, there is a misalignment between these three concepts,” he explains. “One objective is for a ‘curator’ to bring a new 21st century well-being team to counteract the current misalignment.”

After listening to Dr. Harris’ presentation, Jones remarked that

he actually heard five potential business models. “The poignant question is: which is the one we need to focus on?” says Jones. “The power of the Business Model Canvas is that it works to provide the answer.”

This session was the first in what will be several steps including more Business Model Canvas meetings as the business’ value proposition continues to evolve. “Today achieved the goal of providing focus for a more targeted Business Model canvas,” says Dr. Harris. “I feel like we are on the right track.”
